Silver And Guilloche Compact Purse 1920's Guilloche Dance Wristlet Compact
This is a stunning little vintage silver and guilloche compact dance wristlet purse from the 1920's.
It's in fantastic condition, with a pretty detailed blue guilloche with white enamel details around the center guilloche; and a hand painted yellow flower surrounded by green leaves.
The compact purse opens to a clean interior, with a glass mirror that has some age related wear; as can be viewed in our high resolution photos. Use the zoom to see a close up views.
It has a full rouge compartment that still has the foil wrap on it; someone tore a bit of the foil wrap open; as well as a dial style sifter powder compartment on the other side of the piece for adding and dispensing your lose powder. There is also an unused handmade blue trimmed powder puff.
The compact hinges and closures work perfectly. The piece is not hallmarked, but appears to be an F.H.S. Company piece, from others that we have had. They made fine jewelry and compacts in the early 1900's.
It measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in length by 2 inches in width. The wristlet chain adds an additional 4 1/2 inch drop.
This is a gorgeous piece perfect for gifting, or to add to your own collection. We have quick links at the bottom of this page to locate more unique compacts and purses.
