This is a lovely gold tone vintage oval powder compact or pill box with blue and red enamel in excellent condition.
It measures approximately 1 3/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches, and is about 1 inch in height.
The piece is very detailed with a repousse pattern reminiscent of the late 1800's French designed powder boxes. This one is a 1950's reproduction.
The top has a beautiful large blue jeweled stone in the center and tiny red jeweled stones surrounding it on a base of powder blue enamel.
It opens to a clean mirror, and a clean compartment, and closes securely.
There are no hallmarks anywhere on this piece. It's a lovely little powder box or pill box to display or use.
