Vintage Lipstick Case Silver Holder Engine Turned Design 1931 Strong-Kennard Mustache Wax Holder
This is a very unique and rare Strong-Kennard 1931 patent lipstick case or mustache wax holder with an engine turned design. It's in excellent condition and works as it should by pushing the little slider up and down to open and close the case. It still has some of the original product left inside.
It's beautifully decorated with an ornately engine turned design as can be seen in our high resolution photos. It measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in length.
This is hallmarked with the patent number 1810249, which was issued on June 16th 1931. It is also hallmarked Strong-Kennard on the back. The category is: A45D40/026 Casings wherein movement of the lipstick or like solid is a sliding movement with self-contained covering means consisting of a movable strip.
In 1909, Messrs. Strong and Kennard incorporated as Strong-Kennard-Critz Co. to engage in manufacturing and wholesaling optical supplies.
