Gorgeous 1920s Gate Top Purse Whiting And Davis Beggars Bag Accordian Antique Purse Gold Mesh Gatetop
Here's a gorgeous vintage 1920's Whiting & Davis gold mesh gate top or accordion purse that is in excellent condition.
The outside tiny beaded like mesh is in perfect condition. The interior still has the original lining that is in very good condition, and the original Whiting & Davis tag that is still attached.
The top has a nice embossed design. The outside of the purse is beautiful and very shiny with no damage to the mesh. Any darker areas are shadows while photographing, not damage.
It opens and closes as it should, and is a gorgeous piece that would be great for those special occasions or night out on the town.
The purse is a larger one that measures approximately 8 inches in length not including the chain, and is 6 inches across the bottom. It has triangular decorative trim at the bottom; which you don't find too often in these gate top bags, as well as a pretty bar and link chain.
The only issue we could find is some tarnish to the interior of the lid, but nothing that detracts from the beauty of the piece.
