Antique Coin & Powder Compact Purse 1900's Silver Change Purse Victorian
This is a lovely early 1900's antique Victorian powder compact coin or change purse.
The piece has a lovely engraved design that is the same on both the front and back of the piece, and a blank cartouche in the center for engraving your initials.
It opens to a clean interior with a place for a mirror (mirror is missing, but an easy fix) and a powder compartment underneath, along with two coin holders for nickels and dimes.
The piece appears to be silver plated and shows some slight signs of wear, including a few minor indentations that can be viewed in our high resolution photos. Otherwise in lovely condition for a piece this age. No rust or corrosion. Hinges and clasps all in working order.
It measures approximately 3 1/2 inches in length by 2 3/4 inches in width.
The piece has no hallmarks that we could find. Don't miss out on our great selection of vintage and antique compacts and compact purses by clicking our quick links at the bottom of the page.
