Vintage Black Enamel Compact Cigarette Case Lighter By Marathon Working
This is a gorgeous ladies working 1940's black enamel Marathon cigarette case lighter, with a powder and rouge compact.
The piece is in wonderful condition, with only one tiny chip to the enamel at the top of the right side of the compact; it's barely noticeable, and a very faint amount of scuffing, mostly to the back.
It has a blank cartouche for engraving your initials on the powder compartment lid.
The lighter is in working condition, with a new flint installed.
The compact is in wonderful condition with an empty and clean powder compartment, clean powder puff, and full unused rouge behind the double metal mirror.
The cigarette case is clean, and the case appears to not have been used. The total height is just shy of 4 inches, and the width is about 2 1/2 inches across. This case was meant to hold non filtered cigarettes of the day, so the interior dimensions of the case itself is only slightly over 2 3/4 inches in height. The compact is approximately 1 5/8th inches square.
All hinges and closures work perfectly on this piece; and the lighter is in working condition. It's a wonderful collectible piece to add to your collection.
