Silver Compact Wristlet Purse Turquoise Stones And Enamel Accents 1800's Powder & Rouge Rare
This is a rare and lovely antique 1800's silver powder, mirror and rouge compact wristlet purse with turquoise stones and enamel accents.
It's a silver tone compact that has a lovely aged patina that only accents the lovely design. It opens to the beautifully ornate framed mirror is in excellent condition; with no chips or cracks. It has a powder compartment in the base, as well as a rouge compartment behind the mirror. The outside has a gorgeous raised repousse around the edges. The lid is adorned with turquoise stones and blue and white enamel accents. No missing stones or enamel. The wristlet has a slider to adjust to fit the wrist. The blue tassel shows some age discoloration and wear, but given the age is in exceptional condition. The wristlet is in wonderful condition, with only some age discoloration.
The hinges work as they should, and the compact is in beautiful condition, with only slight signs of age wear and tarnish. The compact measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The piece is approximately 3/4 of an inch in thickness. The wristlet adds an approximate additional 5 1/2 inches. The tassel is approximately 4 inches in length.
