Vintage Pilcher Gold Plate On Silver Powder Compact
This is a wonderful 1950's Pilcher gold plate on a silver powder and mirror compact. It's in excellent unused condition, with no damage. It actually looks so much more attractive than our photos show.
The piece has a pretty satin silver finish with a shiny gold plated design on the lid. It opens to a clear mirror and the original sifter net and unused Pilcher powder puff, as well as a paper liner on the bottom. The sticker on the mirror reads: "Gold plate on silver finish by Pilcher". The hinges and closure work perfectly, with a nice tight closure. The compact is approximately 3 1/8th inches by 2 1/2 inches, and is a 1/2 inch in depth.
