Guilloche Cigarette Case 1930's Enamel Card Case Vintage Cigarette Holder Rare
This is a pretty little vintage 1930's guilloche enamel cigarette or card case by Elgin American.
It has a lovely white guilloche lid that is trimmed out in black enamel, as well as having a hand painted pink flower and leaf design. The bottom of the piece is finished in black enamel.
The piece is hallmarked on one of the interior clips "Elgin American Made in U.S.A.".
It springs open with a push of a button and reveals an interior with two spring loaded clips for holding cigarettes. It would also work nicely to hold folded bills and smaller essentials.
The case measures approximately 2 3/4 inches in length by 1 3/4 inches and is 5/8 inch in height.
It does show some wear to the metal edges and to the enamel bottom. It also has a small area on the white enamel top, to the right side edge; it can be viewed in our photos. It's smooth, but appears a bit of moisture may have penetrated under the clear coat. It has no dents. Please view our photos using the mouse over feature to see more detail.
