D.R.G.M.a. German Silver Pocket Watch Compact Vintage
This is a pretty 1930's German silver pocket watch compact. Hallmarked "Made In Germany", as well as the initials "D.R.G.M.a.". This is not the usual hallmark with D.R.G.M., but a rare one with the additional "a." D.R.G.M. stands for "Deutsches Reichgebrauchsmuster". The additional "a." stands for "angemeldet"; a German word that means declared or patent.
It's in lovely condition, with some light scuffs and a couple very faint dings that are barely noticeable. The lid is spring loaded to pop open when you push the stem at the top of the watch compact. The interior has a light gold wash, and a clear mirror, with no chips or cracks. It also has a cute little wool powder puff that's in great condition. There is an ivory color tassel attached to the pivoting ring, and both sides of the piece have the same engine turned sunburst design; with a small round blank cartouche for your initials. It measures 2 inches in diameter. A precious little compact to add to your vintage collection. It comes in a white organza gift pouch.
