Vintage Weidlich Brothers Golfing Flapper Powder Box Jar 1929 Beauty Box Extremely Rare Collectible
This is an extremely rare and stunning vintage Art Deco circa 1929 Weidlich Bros. silver plated golfing flapper and Fostoria black onyx compact beauty box or powder jar.
This piece is in wonderful condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing to the glass base; and no dents, dings, pitting or repairs to the beautiful lid.
It has an Art Deco silver domed lid with a flapper golfer handle. Art Modern display; Fostoria Glass Co. "Black Onyx" glass base, with pressed rouge and powder wells; also wells for lipstick and eyebrow pencil. The lid is hallmarked "W.B. mfg.co.", as well as hallmarked "686-4".
The lid is adorned with fantastic details, from the wonderful Art Deco design to the lovely risqué flapper; with her cloche hat, short skirt, stockings and high heals.
This powder box is approximately 4 inches in diameter, and over 3 1/2 inches in height from the base to the top of the flapper handle.
