1940's Evans Clock Compact Steamer Trunk Powder Compact Watch Rare Unused Working
This is a very rare and fantastic 1940's Evans steamer trunk clock or watch powder compact.
The compact is a gold tone metal; and is in wonderful unused condition.
It measures 2 5/8ths inches by 2 3/4 inches, and is approximately 3/4 of an inch thick, and is well made, and of substantial weight.
The clock has a winding mechanism, similar to a wind up watch, and is accessed behind the metal mirror. The clock can be lifted up to be able to wind, as well as to pull out the stem to set the time. The clock works perfectly and keeps accurate time.
The piece is hallmarked Evans in the interior powder compartment, as well as on the unused powder puff. It also comes with an unused sifter net.
This compact is in excellent condition with no dents, dings, rust or corrosion. The hinge and closure work perfectly. What a terrific and very rare piece to add to your vintage compact collection.
