1930's Sterling Silver Cigarette Case 24Kt Gold Inlay German Business Card Case Credit Card Holder
This is a gorgeous 1930's Victorian style sterling silver and 24kt gold inlay cigarette case in excellent condition. It would work perfectly for business or credit cards.
It measures approximately 4 1/4 inches in length by 3 inches across, and opens with the push of a button. It has a nice heavy weight and feel. Weighing 140 grams, almost 5 ounces. The inside is gold washed, and is engraved to the original owner in German, and is dated 10-8-1932. It has two elastic bands inside to hold cigarettes, cash or cards in place. The case is sterling silver with a 24kt wide engraved gold band running down the center. The round silver central cartouche has the initials "SH". Looks very much like a dollar symbol. The whole case is ornately engraved; it's simply stunning. The opening tab is hallmarked with what appears to be the numbers "1795", as well as another hallmark above that. Check our close up photo of the hallmark, and use our mouse over feature to get a closer look at all the detail of this wonderful case.
