1930's Hohner Echo Harp Tremolo Harmonica Keys of C & G Major 56/96 In Original Box
This is a beautiful 1930's M. Hohner Echo Harp Harmonica in the Keys of C & G Major, 56/96, and comes in the original box.
This piece is in very good to excellent condition, with nominal light wear on the top and bottom plates. There are very slight inflections on the tune ports on both the top and bottom plates which is typical of this instrument with age and use. These inflections do not affect the sound quality at all. The maple wood comb is in very good to excellent condition, with nominal wear to the finish. This harmonica comes with 2 X 48 bell metal (brass) reeds. These pieces were made to last forever, with the proper care. The box is in reasonably good condition, but it shows some age related wear and tear, as can be viewed in our high resolution photos. The box still presents very well.
This harmonica measures 6 3/4 inches long by 2 inches wide by 3/4 inch deep. It is hallmarked with the Star of David in the bottom center plate, confirming the age of early 1930s. It's made in Germany.
This classic 1930s Hohner Echo Harp Tremolo Harmonica would make an excellent addition to someone's vintage harmonica collection. As a rule I do not recommend purchasing any of these antique harmonicas for use as daily players.
