Victorian German Silver Cigarette Case 1900's Card Case Vesta Case RARE
This is a lovely early 1900's German silver vesta cigarette or card case in great condition.
It measures approximately 3 3/8th inches by 2 3/4 inches, and has a curved back to fit more comfortably in a vest pocket.
The front has a wonderfully ornate Victorian engraved design with a large blank cartouche for having your initials engraved. It's hallmarked German Silver on the front edge of the case.
It has a clip on each side of the interior, but both one has lost a bit of spring action over the years, they still will hold cigarettes in place. The interior also has a gold was and slight age discoloration in spots.
It snaps closed perfectly, but does have light scuffing and scratches, mostly to the back of the case. No dents or serious damage.
It's a fabulous antique piece to add to your collection or use. The interior dimensions are too small to hold credit cards or today's standard business cards.
