Lamier Paris Opera Glasses 1800's French Mother Of Pearl Binoculars Antique Theater Glasses In Red Velvet And Nickel Silver Purse
This is a lovely pair of antique Lamier Paris mother of pearl opera glasses or theater glasses from the late 1800's that come in a stunning red velvet and nickel silver early 1900's purse.
The pair of glasses is in great condition, with no damage to the mother of pearl or to the lenses. They function as they should with a very smooth action of the central flywheel.
The only issue that we noticed is some very light tarnish to the metal. No issues with the lenses themselves; and a gorgeous pair of properly working glasses. Measuring approximately 4 1/8th inches across the base by 3 1/4 inches in height when fully extended.
They come in a white cloth slip pouch and inside a stunning deep red velvet and heavy nickel silver purse. The purse is in excellent condition, with only light tarnish to the silver frame. The interior red silk lining is in wonderful undamaged condition, as is the exterior deep red velvet. The kiss clasp works perfectly. The purse measures approximately 8 inches in height not including the kiss clasp or chain handle, by 7 inches across. The chain handle adds an approximate 7 1/2 inch drop from the frame.
