Antique Gold Filigree Rhinestone Purse Rare 1800s Wristlet Purse Stunning Excellent Condition
This is an absolutely stunning and extremely rare gold filigree and red and green faceted rhinestone wristlet purse from the late 1800's. It's in excellent condition both inside and out, and it measures approximately 5 1/2 inches in height including the top closure, and is approximately 3 1/8 inches across the widest point. The filigree dangle at the base adds an additional 2 3/4 inches. The wristlet chain adds an additional 7 inch drop from the top of the bag.
There are no hallmarks on this piece, but it appears to be of European origin in it's design. Most likely a French or Czech manufactured piece. The exterior has the exact same intricate design on both sides, with green and red bezel set rhinestones in a gold filigree design over a brown orange peel leather. The inside is lined with a pretty peach colored silk moiré with pockets for storage on both sides.
This is truly a unique collectible piece that would make a fabulous addition to any ladies purse collection.
