This 1920's Whiting & Davis gold mesh rhinestone studded gate top purse, beggars bag or accordion purse is in excellent condition.
The outside of the purse is in perfect shiny condition, with no damage to the lid or the mesh. The only issue we found is one of the tiny rhinestone chips appears to be missing. It's difficult to see even using a jewelers loupe. The interior is in mint condition, with no rips, tears, stains or damage. Any dark spots on the mesh or lid are only reflections, and not any damage. It is hallmarked with the Whiting & Davis tag.
It opens and closes as it should, and is a gorgeous piece that would be great for those special occasions or night out on the town. This purse would make a wonderful wedding purse for the bride to be.
The piece measures approximately 6 1/2 inches in length, not including the chain. With chain it's an approximate 10 inches in total length. The gate opens to an approximate 4 1/2 inch diameter.
