Victorian Silver Compact Purse Antique Wristlet Purse Etched Engine Turned Design
This is a pretty little antique Victorian silver tone compact purse with a wristlet chain and a beautiful etched engine turned design.
It's in great condition, no dents, rust or corrosion. It opens and closes as it should, with a ball clasp. The interior has two compartments that are separated by an engine turned metal separator plate. One compartment side has a glass mirror, with only slight haze. On the other side of the plate that lifts up is an empty compartment.
The outside has a gorgeous Victorian engine turned design that is etched into the front, and a tiny blank cartouche for adding your initials. The edges are a beautiful repousse pattern all around the purse. The back has another attractive pattern that is different from the front.
It measures approximately 3 inches in length by 2 inches in height, not including the clasp and chain. It is about 3/4 of an inch in thickness. The bar and link chain add an additional 5 inch drop from the top of the purse.
A pretty and unique piece to use for small items, or to add to your purse collection.
