1910 Silver Compact Purse Powder Rouge & Mirror Antique Dance Purse With Finger Ring
This is a gorgeous vintage 1910 silver and gold washed dance compact purse for powder and rouge and mirror. The lid of this compact is covered in silver linear lines and scrolls. It has the original beautiful decorative chain and finger ring.
The piece is monogrammed in the center of the lid with a script LS, which is small and hard to read because of the script. The edges of the compact have a wonderful ornate flower type design all the way around it, that appears to have a light gold wash. The interior also has a very light gold wash.
The piece has a dial sifter for loose powder, and the original full compartment of rouge still remains. It has a clear undamaged mirror and two powder puffs, one for the powder and a smaller one for rouge, both in good condition.
The purse measures 3 inches in length by 2 inches in width. The chain and ring adds an additional 5 inches in length. The ring, chain and edges of the compact have a beautiful engraved repousse design.
This piece has no makers hallmarks or hallmarks to indicate what the metal content is.
