Vintage Guilloche Enamel Powder Compact Elgin American
Another beautiful vintage 1939 Art Deco Elgin American guilloche enamel powder, rouge and mirror compact.
It has a gleaming black enamel background trimmed in gold and silver, with a large snow white guilloche and a beautiful hand painted pink rose with green leaves.
The compact measures 2 7/8 inches in length by 2 1/2 inches in width, and is in fantastic condition.
It is hallmarked in the interior with the Elgin American logo.
The only issue is some very faint haze on the interior mirror, and extremely minor scuffs to the bottom, which can barely be seen. No loss of enamel or any serious damage. It's a stunning piece. Any white spots or light spots are only reflections from our lighting, and not damage.
The hinges and closures work perfectly, and the powder puff appears to not have been used.
