Antique German Guilloche Compact Necklace Powder Compact Locket Chatelaine 1910's
This is a stunning and very collectible antique 1910's guilloche German powder compact locket or chatelaine necklace in wonderful condition.
The compact has a gorgeous salmon colored guilloche enamel lid, and is surrounded by a copper rim. The base of the compact appears to be brass, with some slight tarnish.
The enamel on this piece is flawless, and is hand painted with pink and red roses.
It opens to a mirror in the lid, that has some age related silver wear, especially toward the edges.
The compact has a pretty little white powder puff with a pink rose on the top.
It has a loop on the compact that appears to have the word "Germany". This piece may be German silver with a gold wash, but we are unsure. A magnet does not stick to the piece.
The hinge and closure both work perfectly, and the piece measures approximately 1 3/4 inches in diameter, and has a 19 inch gold tone chain. It's in fantastic condition, with no dents or dings, and no damage to the enamel lid.
