Evans Art Deco Sterling Silver & Guilloche 1930's Powder Mirror & Rouge Compact
This is a really gorgeous 1930's Evans guilloche and sterling silver powder, rouge and mirror Art Deco compact.
The piece is in wonderful condition, with only one tiny pencil point sized chip to the enamel on the bottom of the piece, as can be viewed in our high resolution photos. It appears worse in the photo than it actually is.
The guilloche lid and enamel top is in excellent condition, and the compact measures 2 1/4 inches square.
It still has the original rouge behind the metal mirror, and the double sided mirror is in excellent condition.
It has a covered powder compartment that is hallmarked "Evans", and comes with the original powder puff.
The only issue we have found is that the latch needs some adjustment. It closes and latches perfectly, but when you open it you need to depress the clasp and turn the compact upside down to get the lid to pop open. For this reason we have the piece at a reduced price.
