Hudnut Black Enamel Compact Art Deco Gold Powder Makeup Compact 1930s
Here's an extremely rare 1930's Art Deco Richard Hudnut black enamel and gold tone powder, rouge and mirror compact.
It's in fabulous condition; with no damage to the shiny black enamel. The only issue to note is that the mirror has some veining, which is to be expected for a piece of this age.
The hinges and closures work perfectly; and the piece opens to some of the original rouge and loose powder. We normally clear out loose powder, but this powder compartment is nice and tight so we will leave that to the new owner if they wish.
It also comes with the original hallmarked rouge powder puff.
The compact has the Richard Hudnut New York, Paris hallmark on the bottom of the piece, as can be viewed in the 5th photo.
