Gold Filigree Compact Set French Guilloche Enamel White Pearls Green Stones Antique Powder Boxes 1800's
Here's a stunning set of rare French antique gold tone filigree powder and rouge compacts. They both have beautiful green guilloche enamel hand painted medallions surrounded by 4 white pearls and 4 green prong set stones from the late 1800's.
The lids both have an extremely ornate filigree design that is really stunning; and the enamel center pieces are hand painted with lovely floral patterns.
They both open to a rope style framed beveled mirror that have some silvering spots, and both come with a pretty handmade unused silk powder puffs. They are both clean inside with no powder residue.
The hinges and clasps work well on both pieces. The outside edges of the pieces have gorgeous repousse patterns.
The largest powder compact measures approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter by 5/8ths inches in height. The smaller compact is approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter by 5/8th inches high.
