1930's Silver And Blue Compact & Comb Set
This is a pretty little 1930's powder and rouge compact and comb set. They each are made of a silver tone brushed metal and have blue accents. Both pieces are in great condition. The compact comes with the original powder and rouge puffs. All latches and hinges work perfectly. The compact has an interesting design; the interior loose powder compartment opens with a push of a button from the side of the compact. The comb in great condition with no missing teeth. Both pieces are free from dents, rust and corrosion. Some very minor enamel loss on the top edge of the compact. See our detailed photos, and click to enlarge.
The compact measures approximately 1 3/4 inches square, and the comb is approximately 3 3/4 inches in length. The compact has some of the original rouge. The doubled sided metal mirror lifts up to reveal the rouge underneath. Both sides of the metal mirror are in excellent condition. There are no hallmarks on this set, but it appears to be from the 1930's by the design.
This cute little set would make a perfect bridal or wedding gift. You can cover two bases; having something old and something blue.
