Guilloche Enamel Marathon Cigarette Case Lighter Compact Working Lighter Excellent Condition
What a gorgeous and very unique enamel guilloche 1940's cigarette case lighter compact by Marathon, in working condition.
This piece is in excellent condition, with no dents, rust, corrosion, chips, cracks or crazing; and the lighter is in working condition. It only has some very slight scuffing, that is barely noticeable. Check out our high resolution photos by clicking on each photos zoom function.
All hinges and closures function properly, and have no damage.
The entire case measures approximately 4 /14 inches in length by 2 1/2 inches in width. It was meant to hold unfiltered cigarettes of the day. The compact measures approximately 2 1/8th inches in length by 1 3/4 inches in width. We will also include a red pouch for protection when carrying in a purse or pocket.
The compact has a nice metal mirror, with no damage; and the sifter net is still present. The sifter net does show some wear from use, as can be viewed in the third photo.
We don't see many of these pieces, but the ones we have seen have never been in such wonderful and useable condition. A terrific piece to gift, display, use or add to any vintage collection.
