This is a stunning vintage Elgin American cigarette case in a gold tone metal.
It measures approximately 5 1/4 inches in length by 3 inches in width.
The piece is hallmarked on the inside spring loaded clip "ELGIN AMERICAN".
There is a very tiny ding on the bottom that shows in our last photo, as well as a bit of scuffing, but it has no other imperfections.
It's a very lovely and unusual case that would work well for business cards, credit cards or money, as well as cigarettes.
