1930s Sterling Silver Cigarette Case Italy Business Card Credit Card Holder Italian Scene
This is a lovely vintage 1930's sterling silver cigarette case that is in excellent condition. Great to use as a wallet for business or credit cards and cash.
It has no hallmarks, but was acid tested as sterling silver. It has no damage other than a small lighter spot inside where it was acid tested. The front of the case has a gorgeous engraved scene of the Trieste~Castello di Miramare in Italy. The back is engraved with a lovely design of scrolls and leaves. The hinge and closure work perfectly.
The case has a spring loaded clip that will hold items in place. It measures approximately 5 1/2 inches in length by 3 1/8th inches in width. It weighs 172 grams or 6.1 ounces.
This piece could be used to hold longer cigarettes, such as 100's if placed lengthwise, but not widthwise. It would also work well as a billfold, or wallet for your business and credit cards and cash. It comes in a handmade heavy sage green cloth pouch, which is perfect for gifting and protection of the case.
