Schildkraut Lipstick Mirror Compact Case Enamel Floral Lipstick Holder Rare
This is a wonderful rare vintage Schildkraut black enamel and floral lipstick holder and mirror case.
The beveled mirror is in very good usable condition, with only very faint haze; no chips, breaks or cracks. The haze shows more in our photo due to light reflection.
The lipstick case folds back over the mirror for compact storage in a purse. The lipstick case is hallmarked with the Schildkraut name. The bright red lipstick still remains, but we are unable to push it up; which is not unusual for an item as old as this. If the lipstick were cleaned out it would be functional, but we will leave that to the new owner to decide if they want to remove it. The lipstick color is called "Royal Flush", as can be seen on the base of the tube.
The enamel is in great condition, as is the pretty enameled center medallion. The only issue we see is some slight tarnish spots to the gold tone trim, and some wear to the lipstick case, but no serious damage; no dents or dings.
It measures approximately 2 3/8ths inches in diameter when the lipstick is folded back over the mirror. The lipstick case extended adds an approximate 2 1/4 inches in length.
