Whiting & Davis Silver Mesh Gate Top Purse Vintage Handbag Beggars Bag Accordion Art Deco Evening Bag
This is a pretty vintage 1920's Whiting & Davis silver tone mesh gate top purse, handbag, beggars bag or accordion style purse.
It's in good condition with shiny silver mesh and lid, with no rust, corrosion, dents or dings; only slight tarnish to the mesh and lid. It's still very shiny and beautiful.
The interior lining has no rips or repairs, just slight age related soiling, no stains. The bag is hallmarked with the original Whiting & Davis tag.
It measures approximately 6 inches from the lid to the bottom, and has a nice chain handle that is also in good condition.
The purse is 6 inches in length from the lid to the base of the bag, and the gate opens to 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The chain handle adds a 3 1/2 inch drop from the lid of the purse.
A lovely little purse that would work well for a wedding or special occasion, or a great piece to add to your vintage purse collection.
