1930s Bliss Brothers Guilloche Powder Compact 24kt Gold Plated In Excellent Condition
This is a stunning vintage 1930's Bliss Brothers 24kt gold plated guilloche powder, rouge and mirror compact.
The piece is in excellent condition, with extremely minimal signs of use.
There is no damage to the enamel on either side, and it has a lovely repousse design around the piece.
The guilloche has a pretty handpainted pink rose with green leaves surrounded by yellow flowers.
The only hallmark we could find was the Bliss hallmark stamped in the original unused rouge.
The piece opens to a clean covered powder compartment, and a double sided metal mirror. Behind the mirror is the original rouge and powder puff. The powder compartment shows the reflection of the rouge in the 4th photo, it's not damage.
Both sides of the mirror are in good condition, with only a slight outline of a circle from the powder puff on the inside mirror.
It appears to be from the 1930's, and obviously had little to no use.
The compact measures 2 1/4 inches square, and would make a wonderful addition to any vanity or vintage compact collection.
