Volupte Cloisonne Powder Mirror Compact 1940s Art Deco Vanity Accessory
This is a gorgeous vintage 1940's Volupte cloisonné large vanity powder and mirror compact in fabulous condition.
The piece is a large 4 inches; perfect for your vanity or dressing table. It has the wow factor with it's stunning intricate cloisonné design.
Both the front and back are in wonderful condition, with no damage to the enamel. The pattern is the same on both sides of this well made compact.
The mirror is in good condition, as are the hinges and closures; and the piece is weighty.
The compact opens to a covered powder compartment that has the Volupte hallmark and a well used powder puff.
The only issue we can find is a slight amount of corrosion on the interior near the hinge; which you can view with our high resolution photos. Please click on the photo and then click again to enlarge to the maximum viewing.
We have cleaned the puff to avoid any further corrosion to the compact.
This is a fabulous and very rare piece; and to find one in this great condition is even more rare.
