1940s Dog Cigarette Dispenser Wooden Box Occupied Japan
This is a wonderful and unique vintage wooden dog cigarette dispenser box from the 1940's. It was made in Occupied Japan, and is in wonderful working condition.
The box measures 4 inches square and is 5 inches in height when closed, and the dog dispenses a non filtered cigarette when you open the lid.
It's in very good condition, but does have some very slight age appropriate wear; please enlarge our high resolution photos by clicking on each one twice to see more detail.
The inlaid wood design of a dog and the edge inlay detailing on the lid is in good condition, as is the hand painted vintage radio style front. When opened it shows a flower and butterfly design painted on the interior lid, as well as a Japanese fan on the lid where you add your cigarettes. The dog is also hand painted, and in very good condition.
A wonderful and unique conversation piece and collectible to use or display.
