Volupte Portmanteau Compact Purse 1950s Powder Mirror & Cigarette Case
This is a fantastic vintage 1950's Volupte Portmanteau compact Mirror, powder rouge and lipstick purse with cigarette case.
It comes complete with the original black moiré carrying case, brushed gold tone compact case, loose powder, rouge, lip rouge, yellow Bakelite comb, change purse, 2 powder puffs and the original care instructions.
The piece also has another compartment behind the metal mirror that can be used for cigarettes, money, credit cards or what ever you choose.
This case still has some of the original makeup inside, but some has been used. The powder puffs are in good condition, as is the entire set.
The only issue we found is that the one side of the metal mirror does have a slight band of rust where it made contact with the Bakelite comb. The other side of the mirror is perfect.
No dents, dings, rust or corrosion, other than the rust mentioned on one side of the mirror.
All hinges, clasps, snaps, etc. work perfectly, and it is a heavy well designed piece to add to your vintage collection.
It measures approximately 5 1/4 inches by 3 inches.
