Antique Silver Compact Coin Purse 1900s Powder Compact Wristlet Change Purse
This is a pretty little early 1900's Edwardian compact coin or change purse in lovely condition. The piece has an intricate engine turned linear design on the front and back of the purse.
The hinge and closure work properly, and it opens to a gold washed interior with a holographic design. It has three spring loaded coin holders, the original lipstick holder with traces of red lipstick, as well as a dial sifter loose powder holder, and a solid rouge compartment with rouge and rouge puff.
There is a frame for a mirror on the inside of the lid, but he mirror is missing. It can easily be replaced, as the frame for the mirror snaps out to add the new mirror.
It's in excellent condition, with no dents, dings, rust or corrosion; it's only showing very minor scuffing.
The compact measures approximately 3 1/2 inches in length by 2 3/4 inches in height, not including the clasp and chain. The chain adds an approximate 4 1/2 inch drop from the top edge of the purse.
