1945 Sterling Silver Cigarette Box Art Deco Tabletop Cigarette Case England Turner & Simpson Company
This is a vintage 1945 sterling silver hallmarked tabletop cigarette box or case.
It is engraved "RAR" on the lid.
The box is lined with what appears to be balsa wood.
It measures 5 7/8 inches in length by 3 3/8 inches in width, and stands on four sterling feet.
The piece is heavy, weighing in at 14.8 ounces.
It is hallmarked "Made In England" on the bottom, and has the "T&S" - Turner & Simpson Company; "Anchor" - Birmingham Assay hallmark; "Lion" - .925 Sterling Silver hallmark on the side, as well as; "V" - This dates it to 1945.
